SQLULDR2 text unload utility

Has anyone use freeware sqluldr2 to unload from Oracle and load into Netezza? It appears to unload data from Oracle very fast, but sometime get unpredict result like special charaters. Any comments on this? thanks

I'm not familiar with it. If you need to unload large amounts of data every day from Oracle, WisdomForce has a product called FastReader that gives very high performance by reading the Oracle data files directly. It is not a free product though, but it well worth the money if you need to pull high volumes of data out of Oracle on a frequent basis.

Yes, I heard a lot of good thing about the product. At this point, I am interested in free product.

We use DBCrane (http://www.bronzeage.us/downloads.html) to unload high volume of data from Oracle, DB2 and SQL server into Netezza. It is not as expensive as FastReader.

Hi, we use SQLULDR2 for transfer data from Oracle to Netezza. This unload utility is very, very fast. I recommend looking at it.
